I am the one who embraces the Everything that I am.

I am the one who respects the planet and seeks to show that respect more every day.

I am the one who remains amazed at the growth of plants and the gifts they bring. Since first reading the tales of Narnia, in which a bar of metal from a lamp post fell into the fertile soil and grew a lamp post, I have been aware of how equally magical (perhaps moreso) it is that we can take a tiny seed, cover it with dirt and add a little water and sunshine and within days we will see little green plants. Within weeks, it will produce something beautiful for us to look at or maybe even something yummy to eat! I am the one who is constantly finding this a new and exciting realization.

I am the one who still finds wonder in the knowledge that we live on a sphere out in space. I am the one who sometimes finds it difficult to see anything as mundane because it all seems magical and AWEsome.

I am the one who is happiest at home. I am the one who strives to take "home" with me when I go out into the world.

I am the one who is filled with different colors and patterns of growth.

Some New Cards

Shadow and Light

I received another email from Neale Donald Walsch this morning, telling me how amazing and wonderful I am and how much God loves me.

Shadow work isn't easy. It's really no fun looking at the part of ourselves we don't like. But if we can learn that the shadow is trying to protect us, it can help us to be more gentle with ourselves.

It is also helpful to take a break from the shadow work and make a card about a neter that we really enjoy. Maybe you're a baker or you play the piano or maybe you're a really good hugger. Make a card for this part of you.

Put it somewhere visible so it can remind you of how spectacular you are and that, as Neale says, God loves you to pieces.

So do I.

Are You Looking For Your Shadow?

I received this in my email this morning. I'm subscribed to messages from Neale Donald Walsch. Maybe next year I'll have a Groundhog Day SoulCollage Workshop! We could at least all make a card today. :)

Self-improvement begins with self-acceptance. All of

life, everything else, has led up to this. This is your

work now. It is the final step. Go for it.

Workshop

I lead a workshop last night. It was absolutely wonderful. Each person there was amazing. I was so touched by the sharing. They made lots of cards and everyone was very open in sharing them.

I wanted to pass along a link. Debbie Ford does a lot of shadow work. She's written books and lectured about embracing our shadow sides. I subscribe to her blog and this morning I received this beautiful post. I think it speaks so well to why we make cards for those parts of ourselves that we really don't like. Here's the link. My Path Found Me

This is another card for my Vision Suit.

It's been an amazing week of self-discovery for me.

I finally listened to the voice that has been trying to tell me what I want to do with my life.

It was startlingly clear.

I want to work with children, being a cheerleader for their creativity.

As I travel the amazing blogging community, I hear a similar phenomenon of people, particularly women, becoming aware of the full potential of their creative inner selves well into their thirties, forties and beyond.

This is a truth for me, as well.

I was 40 when I discovered my inner artist. She burst into my awareness and out through my paint and glue-covered fingertips.

I don't believe in regrets, but for a time I struggled with the "what-ifs." Such as, "what if I had discovered this muse and her power in my teens or even as a child." "what if I had discovered how powerful my inner selves are before so many outer voices influenced my life's path."

Here and now I want to help introduce children to their Neters and to encourage their participation in making choices throughout the rest of their lives.

This card, made as part of the Full Moon Dreamers project, reflects my immediate goals for January.

Intention and Surrender

This is the third of the three cards I drew on Monday.

I am One who has colorful green eyes that glow.

I am the One who blows on the magical green stuff and it lifts from my hands.

I am the One whose beautiful hands are open to receive.

I am the one with feathers in my hair.

I am the One who doesn't try to hold on to the green stuff.

What do you want from me?

I want you to loosen your grip.
I want you to trust that once you have blown on the magical green stuff, it iwll scatter like wild flowers, seed and take root in the fertile groundwork you've lain and, while you won't know whether you will grow daffodils or tulips, it will be beautiful and just what you needed.

What do you have to give me?

I give you the assurance of a beautiful future if you let go and blow; breath.

How will I remember?

When you see a seed or flower or beautiful hands.

Peaceful Sleeper

I like to draw three cards for the week. Then I have time to think about what they are saying to me as different occasions arise.

I also do this because I am realistic about the fact that I won't do a drawing every day.

This is one of the three cards I drew yesterday and the journal entry I made.

I am one who sleeps peacefully with my head on a fluffy pillow.

I am the one who has been playing the drum.

I am the one who rests in peace and comfort even though the forest is right behind me with all its mystery.

What do you want from me?

I want you to rest peacefully.
I want you to to trust that you will be well even when things look scary or mysterious.
I want you to play your drum and then rest.

What do you give me?

I give you the assurance that you will be well cared for no matter how little you know about what's "out there."

How will I remember?

When you see trees with their bare branches reaching up.
Every time you lie down to sleep.
